Maldonado excluded from qualifying
SILVERSTONE, 5th July 2014 (F1 Plus / Rosie Baillie) - Pastor Maldonado has been excluded from qualifying for the British Grand Prix for failing to provide a fuel sample and will start 19th, ahead of the Caterhams. The Lotus driver pulled over at the end of Q2 when the team realised he hadn't got enough fuel for a last run and to provide a fuel sample. Regulations require drivers to produce a 1 litre fuel sample, which he was unable to do. Maldonado qualified 15th but moved up to 13th after benefitting from Esteban Gutierrez's and Max Chilton's grid penalties. He will now start from the back of the grid ahead of the two Caterham's, who qualfied outside of the 107% time. ...
