Formula One 2014: The season so far – Part 3
After he conceded the championship lead to Nico Rosberg in Monaco, Lewis Hamilton continued to lose ground to his team-mate in the title battle as his campaign was hindered by a series of setbacks, defeats and uncharacteristically error riddled races. At one point, following the Austrian Grand Prix, his prospects looked bleak as the gap to Rosberg was the largest it had been all season. The German was more than a race win clear of Hamilton but a miraculous victory at his home race in Silverstone put the former world champion right back in the fight.
