Alonso: I extracted the absolute maximum from the car
+ Fernando Alonso says he extracted the absolute maximum from his Ferrari during qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix.
Alonso will start Ferrari’s home race at Monza just seventh on the grid, the fastest non-Mercedes powered car in qualifying, a somewhat underwhelming result in front of the expectant crowds of the tifosi.
But the Spaniard told the media following the session that even with “100 sets of tyres” it would have been impossible to have achieved a better result than seventh, having set four identical lap times throughout qualifying.
