Sauber silent over Stroll rumours
– Sauber is staying silent over rumours that Canadian billionaire Lawrence Stroll is set to buy in to the team.Over the Italian Grand Prix weekend, speculation grew that Stroll, who made his fortune in the clothing industry, is looking for a way into Formula 1 and has held discussions with the outfit regarding a potential investment.Formula 1's complex regulation overhaul, including all-new turbocharged power units and advanced Energy Recovery Systems (ERS), and the failure to agree on a cost-cap have put financial pressure on outfits.When quizzed about the talk of Stroll investing by GPUpdate.net, a Sauber spokesman refused to comment.Stroll, a keen motorsport enthusiast, also owns...
