Vergne elated after matching best result

Red Bull/Getty Images Jean-Eric Vergne expressed his elation after matching his best Formula 1 result with a storming drive in the Singapore Grand Prix. Despite starting from 12th and copping two time penalties, Vergne recovered to finish in sixth place after a sequence of overtaking moves during the closing stages of the race. Vergne consequently matched his result from last year's Canadian Grand Prix as he bids to remain on the Formula 1 grid in 2015. "It feels great," he said.
