Ricciardo excited for dream Suzuka first sector

Daniel Ricciardo says the first sector at Suzuka “is just a delight” and “a dream” as he looks ahead to the Japanese Grand Prix. Suzuka's first sector features the right-handed turns one and two before the high-speed Esses section and then the two Degner curves which often see a number of crashes throughout the weekend. Ricciardo said the opening part of the lap is something he really looks forward to and says the lack of run-off at Degner Two adds to the challenge for the drivers. “Suzuka is all good, but for me the first sector is just a delight,” Ricciardo said. “It's a dream.
