Parry completes McLaren F1 test
Formula Renault Eurocup racer Matt Parry completed a McLaren Formula 1 test at the Silverstone circuit on Monday.
It was his first time at the wheel of F1 machinery, with the outing being a reward for winning the 2013 McLaren Autosport BRDC Award.
The 20-year-old carried out three five-lap runs in the McLaren MP4/26 that Jenson Button took to victory at the 2011 Canadian Grand Prix.
Parry was awarded the prestigious award after taking the 2013 Formula Renault NEC championship. The F1 test was originally scheduled for the middle of the day but telemetry issues caused it to be delayed by a couple of hours.
