Abu Dhabi FP2: Hamilton owns day one but Rosberg close
Lewis Hamilton fastest on day one in Abu Dhabi
Formula 1 world championship leader Lewis Hamilton kept his advantage over title rival Mercedes team mate Nico Rosberg in FP2, although it was a mere 0.083s that separated the Silver Arrows pair under the bright lights of Yas Marina Circuit.
McLaren driver Kevin Magnussen was just over half a second down in third, with Red Bull‘s Sebastian Vettel a tad faster than Valtteri Bottas who ended fourth in the Williams. Fernando Alonso failed to set a time after his Ferrari came to a halt out on circuit early in the session.
