Wittmann to test 2012 Toro Rosso at Imola this week
DTM champion Marco Wittmann will test a 2012 Toro Rosso at the Imola circuit on Thursday.
The German racer scored four race victories and one further podium finish en route to the 2014 title, driving for BMW Team RMG.
BMW previously announced that it would be organising a Formula 1 test for Wittmann, as a reward for taking the drivers' championship.
He will be behind the wheel of the Toro Rosso STR7 – driven by Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne during the 2012 season – at the Imola track, which previously hosted the San Marino Grand Prix, this Thursday.
Wittmann will return to the DTM series in 2015 to defend his crown with BMW.
