Force India to miss Jerez test

Force India has announced that it will miss the opening pre-season test at Jerez.The Silverstone-based outfit, which unveiled its 2015 livery last week in Mexico City, had originally planned running its 2014 car at the Jerez test.However, this morning the team revealed that it had reconsidered the move and would instead miss Jerez and concentrate on the first Barcelona test, starting on 19 February, at which time the 2015 car will be ready.'We have chosen not to run the old (2014) car in Jerez,' the team tweeted. 'The learning opportunities would have been limited so the focus is now on Barcelona.'All of which makes you wonder why they considered such a move in the first place.
