Countdown to Jerez

Fernando Alonso will herald the start of the new McLaren-Honda era in earnest when he takes the MP4-30 for its maiden outing on Day One of the Jerez test on Sunday.The four-day meeting, the first of three pre-season tests this winter, will also mark Sebastian Vettel's official debut as a Ferrari driver following his transfer from Red Bull as Alonso's replacement.Nearly two decades after their partnership dominated the sport, McLaren and Honda are reuniting for 2015 and will start the year as the dark horses to end Mercedes' record-breaking run of success in the wake of the sport's ‘rules revolution' 12 months ago.
