Rosberg racks up miles, Ferrari 'eye-opening'
Nico Rosberg proved that his day one tally at Jerez was no fluke as he put another 151 laps on the new AMG Mercedes W06 on Tuesday. The German's total for two days now exceeds 300 laps and, with team-mate Lewis Hamilton having added 91 of his own on day two, Mercedes far and away leads the distance chart at the opening pre-season test. Echoing Hamilton's claim that the world champion's were not chasing lap times in southern Spain, Rosberg confirmed that pounding endlessly around the Jerez de la Frontera circuit would pay bigger dividends in the search for back-to-back titles. “Our goal is to do mileage because, last year, our weakness was reliability,” the German noted, “It cost us...
