Force India explains Marussia block

– Force India says it voted against Marussia's request to use an old chassis during the 2015 season because the proposal lacked substance.F1's Strategy Group met in Paris on Thursday to discuss a variety of subjects, one of which was Marussia's application to return to the grid with its 2014 car.It required unanimous support from the teams in the Strategy Group and F1 Commission before going to the World Motor Sport Council for ratification.But Force India – the first team to vote on the matter – opposed, immediately ending any hopes Marussia had of succeeding with its plan.While the team's decision has been linked to securing a portion of Marussia's commercial rights income,...
