Palmer to make Lotus debut at Barcelona test

Lotus F1 third driver Jolyon Palmer will complete his first run in the team's 2015 car at the second pre-season test. The reigning GP2 champion will drive the E23 Hybrid on day two of the event, which takes place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya from the 19-22 February. Palmer was named as the Enstone-based outfit's third and reserve driver last month, confirming that he will drive in a number of first practice sessions this year. Lotus announced its Barcelona test line-up on Twitter. Pastor Maldonado will be behind the wheel of the E23 on Thursday, before handing the car over to Palmer for the Friday sessions.
