Verstappen admits lack of tyre knowledge is an issue

High-degradation Pirellis causing biggest headache for Formula One’s least-experienced driver. Toro Rosso’s teenaged sensation Max Verstappen has admitted that learning about the control Pirelli tyres, and their high-degradation nature, has been the hardest thing to adapt to in Formula One so far. F1 rookie Verstappen, who stated that he was used to driving “flat-out” from start to finish in F3 European Championship races, said during testing in Barcelona: “Tyres are quite difficult, that is where I have to pay a lot of attention. “In every aspect I can still improve.
