Alonso 'should be fine' for Australia

Fernando Alonso should be fine to race in the season-opening Australian Grand Prix despite Sunday's crash in testing, says McLaren boss Ron Dennis. Alonso was flown to hospital by helicopter after the accident but is now resting at home in Spain. Dennis has revealed Alonso was knocked unconscious 'for a few seconds' after hitting the wall at the exit of Turn Three at the Circuit de Catalunya. The new Formula 1 season begins in Melbourne on 15 March. More to follow. Alonso was airlifted to hospital after being treated at the Circuit de Catalunya's medical centre
