Mercedes MGU-K failure ends Day 1 early

Mercedes AMG have had their day ended early, thanks to a MGU-K failure. Lewis Hamilton set the pace during the morning session at Circuit Di Catalunya, but fell to second during the afternoon as he failed to reappear after lunch. With the barriers up at Mercedes, there was very little activity visible from outside as whatever was preventing Lewis from running was worked upon. However, with an hour remaining in the day, Mercedes revealed that their day had been ended early thanks to a faulty MGU-K. That's our day done. Problem diagnosed as MGUK failure.
