Massa fastest as final Barcelona test begins

Williams Martini Racing Williams driver Felipe Massa set the quickest time on the first day of the final pre-season test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Massa took the mantle from World Champion Lewis Hamilton during the afternoon session on Medium tyres and promptly lowered his quickest time to a 1:23.500 on the yellow-banded Soft tyres. Massa’s time was significantly quicker than anyone achieved during last week’s test as he ended a day partially affected by rain significantly faster than Sauber's Marcus Ericsson.
