Felipe Nasr: “We made another step forward”

Felipe Nasr ended the second day of the final pre-season test at the Circuit de Catalunya with the third fastest time in his Sauber C34, and felt he was coming to grips with the car, especially in the long runs. The Brazilian GP2 Series graduate completed 141 laps of the Spanish circuit, running short runs before getting a race simulation in during the afternoon, much like his Swedish team-mate Marcus Ericsson managed to do on the opening day on Thursday. “Today was very productive as we went through the whole programme,” said Nasr. “In the morning I was able to get a feeling for the car during the short-runs on the soft and medium compounds, which was quite positive. “After the...
