German Grand Prix cancelled by FIA

– The FIA's World Motor Sport Council has confirmed that there will not be a German Grand Prix this season – and there will be no replacement – thus reducing the number of races on the 2015 calendar to 19.It will be the first time since 1960 that a Formula 1 race will not be held in the country.The Nürburgring was set to host this year's event as part of a race-share deal with Hockenheim, but talks with F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone were unsuccessful.Ecclestone had stated in January that he expected the Grand Prix to continue at Hockenheim for another season, but the circuit ruled itself out earlier this week.On Friday, the WMSC published a revised 2015 calendar without Germany,...
