Alonso recalls ‘heavy steering' ahead of Barcelona testing crash

+ McLaren has revealed that Fernando Alonso experienced a “sense of heavy steering” before his Barcelona testing crash last month.  Alonso was forced to sit out the 2015 season opener in Australia after he suffered a concussion in a pre-season testing crash at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. He will need to pass a FIA medical assessment on Thursday to clear him to drive at this weekend’s Malaysian Grand Prix. The Spaniard returned to McLaren last week and spent time in the team’s simulator in an effort to catch up the recent developments introduced to the Honda-powered MP4-30, while also discussing the nature of his testing accident with his engineers. “While there was...
