Alonso declared fit to race in Malaysia

Fernando Alonso will race in this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix after the FIA confirmed that he had passed all mandatory medical checks. As part of his recovery from a concussion suffered in a pre-season testing crash in Barcelona, the McLaren driver was forced to miss the opening round in Australia, with Kevin Magnussen filling in. Alonso made no secret of his desire to return for the Malaysian Grand Prix, but had to undergo tests from the FIA Medical Deligate and the Chief Medical Officer at the Sepang International Circuit.
