McLaren: Chinese GP will not suit our setup

Despite a showing in Sepang that saw the team improve lap times close to a second and a half over its disastrous season opener, McLaren personnel have urged moderation of expectations about the team's development in the run-up to the Chinese Grand Prix. Though the beleaguered McLaren-Honda partnership was eliminated in the first round of qualifying at Malaysia a historic second consecutive time, the cars ran in midfield before technical issues forced their retirements, a feat both drivers and pitwall personnel wish to replicate. 'It would have been a fantastic boost [in Malaysia] to get the car home in amongst some of the cars in the midfield pack,' veteran McLaren man Jenson Button said....
