Hamilton smashes Shanghai with pole position – Qualifying Report

Lewis Hamilton has continued his domination of this weekend by taking pole position for tomorrow's Chinese Grand Prix. Q1: Q1 was a frenetic affair with times coming quick and fast in the early stages of the sessions with drivers attempting to keep out of each others way. Unsurprisingly, Mercedes led the way after the initial runs were completed, Hamilton set a 1.38.285 ahead of Rosberg on a 1.38.496 with both running the prime tyre. Ferrari's first runs were disappointing, putting them in the midfield as Hulkenberg, Nasr & Ericsson were 3rd, 4th and 5th on the option tyres.
