One Year Rewind – Hamilton and Rosberg’s duel in the desert

Last year’s Bahrain Grand Prix was undoubtedly one of the best races in recent F1 history, with Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg battling wheel-to-wheel for victory. It was Rosberg who secured pole position for round three of the 2014 season, with his first Q3 attempt proving to be unbeatable. He aborted his final run, after his team-mate made a mistake at Turn 1, but Hamilton remained second to make it a Mercedes front row lock-out. Valtteri Bottas originally qualified fourth, but moved up to third due to Daniel Ricciardo being given a 10-place grid penalty for an unsafe release in Malaysia.
