Hamilton leads Verstappen in first practice

ercedes driver Lewis Hamilton topped the timesheets during a mixed up opening practice session for the Monaco Grand Prix, ahead of Toro Rosso's Max Verstappen and Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo.As an initially damp track surface gradually dried, Hamilton worked his way down to a 1:18.750 on Pirelli's Soft compound tyre.Verstappen shot up to second with a late improvement, 0.149s adrift, with Ricciardo a further two tenths back in third position.Sebastian Vettel was the fastest of the Ferraris in fourth, the German narrowly avoiding the barriers exiting Casino in the process.Toro Rosso's encouraging start was backed up by Carlos Sainz Jr., who finished just ahead of Lotus driver Pastor...
