Raikkonen future decision on hold, says Ferrari

Ferrari says that it is likely to hold fire on a decision about Kimi Raikkonen's future until after the summer break – as it shifts priorities to performance improvements. Raikkonen is hoping the Scuderia will take up an option it has on his contract for 2016 – even though they have been sounding out Williams about buying Valtteri Bottas out of his deal with the British outfit for next year. But, despite suggestions Ferrari had to make a call by the end of July, team principal Maurizio Arrivabene has made clear that there are more important things taking up his time over the summer shutdown period.
