Ricciardo hails Red Bull ‘legends' after late engine change

Daniel Ricciardo has called his Red Bull mechanics 'legends' after a quick engine change prior to Italian Grand Prix qualifying. The Australian missed most of the opening session, but quick work by his team meant he was able to set a lap time and progress through to Q2. He failed to take part in the second segment of qualifying, as he has already picked up several power unit element change penalties and will start from the back of the grid. 'We had a new engine in the car this morning that lasted a handful of laps,' Ricciardo said. 'I think the boys in the garage did the world’s quickest engine change to get the car out for Q1.
