Stewards clear Mercedes, Hamilton keeps win

Lewis Hamilton will keep his Italian Grand Prix victory after stewards cleared Mercedes of breaching tyre pressure guidelines. Mercedes were summoned to the stewards shortly after Hamilton claimed his seventh win of the season to defend claims his left rear tyre was 0.3 PSI below the 19.5 PSI limit set by Pirelli. Hamilton’s team-mate Nico Rosberg was also judged to have breached the tyre technical regulations after his left rear tyre measured 1.1 PSI under the set target. Both Mercedes and Ferrari cars had their tyre pressures taken by an FIA delegate on the grid prior to the start of Sunday’s race.
