Sebastian Vettel: 'I thought Mercedes were sandbagging'

Singapore Grand Prix – For the first time since the 2012 German Grand Prix, a car bearing the prancing horse of Ferrari will start from the front at tomorrow’s Singapore Grand Prix, after Sebastian Vettel broke the Mercedes stranglehold on pole position.  It is also the German’s first pole since the 2013 Brazilian Grand Prix. Vettel topped the timesheets over half a second ahead of former team-mate Daniel Ricciardo, but was surprised by the absence of pace from Championship leaders Mercedes.
