Nico Rosberg takes pole after Kvyat smash – Qualifying Report
Japanese Grand Prix – Nico Rosberg has taken pole position for the Japanese Grand Prix. The Mercedes man took the pole after setting a fast first flying lap in Q3. Before anyone could attempt a second run, the session was red flagged due to a huge crash for Red Bull's Daniil Kvyat._ Q1: With just one hour of dry running serving as preparation for Q1, the real question for the first session was whether any of the frontrunners would feel confident enough to try getting through into Q2 without using a set of Medium Pirellis.
