Renault signs letter of intent with Lotus

– Renault has confirmed that it has signed a letter of intent with the current owners of the Lotus Formula 1 team, regarding the "potential acquisition" of a majority stake in the Enstone-based outfit.Renault has been edging closer to a return as a full works team in the sport and the manufacturer says that signing the letter is its first step in the project of a Renault Formula 1 team from 2016.The letter is likely to help Lotus in its High Court case on Monday, as it returns to face HMRC over an alleged unpaid tax bill."Renault Group and Gravity Motorsports S.a.r.l., an affiliate of Genii Capital SA, are pleased to announce the signature of a Letter of Intent...
