Proud Rossi excited for happy homecoming
Alexander Rossi says he cannot wait to get on track for his local round of the Formula 1 World Championship as he prepares to become the first American to race on home soil in F1 since 2007. The Manor driver, who made his debut with the team in Singapore last month, will be the first local driver to race at the Circuit of the Americas F1 round since the Texan venue first debuted on the calendar in 2012. Describing the weekend as a 'big deal', Rossi's appearance will make him the first American to start an F1 race in the United States since Scott Speed drove for Toro Rosso at Indianapolis in 2007.
