Heavy rain could alter Saturday program

Qualifying for the United States Grand Prix could be pushed to Sunday due to inclement weather lashing Austin. Torrential rain and lighting saw free practice two on Friday cancelled, with Texas feeling the effects of Hurricane Patricia which is battering the coast of Mexico and moving further north. The worst of the weather is expected on Saturday, with 30cm of rain forecasted to fall. The bad weather is predicted to ease by the scheduled afternoon start of Sunday's race. Officials are currently working on contingency plans. Options include brining free practice three forward to early on Saturday before heavy rain is predicted, or moving qualifying to Sunday.
