US GP: FIA delays start of qualifying
The FIA has decided to delay the start of qualifying for the United States Grand Prix due to bad weather conditions. Despite being able to run final free practice on time on Saturday morning, an increase in rain has meant that there was no chance to start qualifying at its original 1pm slot. An announcement from the governing body just more than 20 minutes before qualifying started said that it would be delayed by 30 minutes. That means it is currently scheduled for 1.30pm local time, although further delays cannot be ruled out.
