Vibrations Lead to Nico Prost's Wing Failure

Putrajaya ePrix – Renault e.Dams' team manager Jean-Paul Driot has confirmed that the cause of Nico Prosts’ retirement was down to the vibrations of a street circuit working something loose on the car. Prost had to retire his car from the race after the stewards deemed his car unsafe to race although the incident barely affected his race pace. Driot believes that the stewards’ decision to retire the car was the correct one. “Obviously it was the right decision from the race stewards to bring him in and as Nico said himself, these things happen in racing. “It seems that something came loose on the rear wing and the vibrations of the track eventually led to a failure.
