Gene Haas: 'Our chassis will be better than Ferrari's'
Gene Haas insists he sees no problem with his newly-formed team being referred to as 'a Ferrari B-team', and instead believes their car will have a superior chassis to the Scuderia in 2016. Haas F1 is set to join the grid next year as the first US based outfit since the unrelated Haas Lola team from 1985-86, and will use a 2017-spec Ferrari engine and as many parts as regulations allow. The team are also in partnership with Italian chassis company Dallara, who according to Haas are assisting to build a 'substantially different' chassis to their Italian rivals, which is reportedly bringing benefits from their different design approach.
