Lotus: Two engine formula 'a can of worms'

– Lotus Technical Director Nick Chester believes that Formula 1 would be opening "quite a can of worms" by adopting two different types of engines in the future.Formula 1's governing body, the FIA, confirmed at the end of last month that it is investigating a 'client engine' from the 2017 season to offer teams a cheaper alternative.But concerns have been raised about a potential gulf in performance between the two engine types, and Chester reckons it would be a complicated process."It's quite a can of worms," Chester commented."A two-tier championship would be very difficult to operate."There would be so many different challenges for equalisation and...
