Manor appoint Ryan as new racing director
Former McLaren sporting director Dave Ryan has been appointed as Manor Marussia’s new racing director. Ryan spilt with McLaren in 2009 after the team was accused of bringing the sport into disrepute for lying to the stewards following the Australian Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton, who was disqualified from the race, claimed Ryan had ordered him to mislead the stewards after an accident involving the safety car. Ryan, who has 34 years of Formula 1 experience, will return to the sport after a six year absence with Manor with immediate affect to oversee race operations. “I’m very excited to be joining the Manor Marussia F1 Team at a pivotal time in their development,” said Ryan....
