Celis Jr. joins Force India in development role
– Force India has announced the signing of Alfonso Celis Jr. as a development driver, a role which will see the Mexican make his Formula 1 test debut in Abu Dhabi next month.Celis Jr., 19, moved to Europe in 2013 to compete in the Formula Renault 2.0 NEC championship, before making the step up to to the GP3 Series and Formula Renault 3.5.In his new position, Celis Jr. will spend time on the simulator at Force India's factory, and is also set to make seven free practice appearances throughout the 2016 campaign.Celis Jr. will share driving duties with Force India racer Nico Hülkenberg during the private December 1 test at the Yas Marina Circuit, which is set to run over 12...
