Sainz has great expectations

Toro Rosso driver Carlos Sainz is confident his team can exceed expectations during the 2016 Formula 1 campaign, when it will hope to outperform Red Bull Racing. Toro Rosso finished seventh in the Constructors' Championship this year, three places behind their Red Bull rivals. However, Sainz and teammate Max Verstappen have shown tremendous potential this season and think they can build on that when the new campaign starts. Critical to their plans is the help that will come from a more competitive engine. 'In theory, we should be ahead of Red Bull next season,' Sainz told Spanish journalists this week.
