Honda aiming for Q3 results in 2016
Honda's Yasuhisa Arai says that the engine manufacturer, together with McLaren, are aiming for Q3 results this season. Coming off the back of a dreadful first year reunion between the former behemoths of the sport, Honda are facing an uphill struggle to close the performance gap to frontrunning power unit offerings from Ferrari & Mercedes. While the basic power unit is understood to be reasonably competitive, the hybrid systems appear to have been the main stumbling block for the Japanese supplier. Speaking in an exclusive interview with F1i.com, Arai explained that their targets for 2016 are simple: “We want to solve the ERS issues and also the reliability issues before Melbourne....
