Channel 4 announces live F1 race slots

Formula 1's new broadcaster Channel 4 has confirmed that the British Grand Prix will be one of the 10 races it will show live in 2016. After the BBC elected to terminate its F1 contract early on cost grounds, C4 has stepped in with a three-year deal to show the sport as part of a share-agreement with Sky. Operating a similar system to that which was in place before, whereby it and Sky pick the races that will be jointly shown live, the season has now been divided up. Channel 4's first live race will be the Bahrain Grand Prix on April 3, while it will also show its home British GP on July 10 and the season finale in Abu Dhabi on November 27.
