McLaren: Calendar changes impacted work
– McLaren Operations Director Simon Roberts says that an "incredible effort" was required over the Christmas period to meet a tighter build programme for the MP4-31.Late changes to the 2016 calendar saw the season-opening Australian Grand Prix brought forward to March 20, with the first pre-season test in turn shifted to February 22-25."Our entire build programme wasn't lined up for that, so we knew we had a problem to solve," Roberts explained in an interview with the official McLaren website."In terms of our design and engineering capacity, it's a relatively straightforward re-planning exercise – there's less time to get the work done, so everyone works a...
