McLaren-Honda rubbishes power hike stories

McLaren-Honda has moved to play down the suggestion it could begin the 2016 Formula 1 season with an extra 220hp to play, labelling reports 'unsubstantiated'. Reports in the Spanish media had suggested Honda had solved ongoing issues with its ERS – which couldn't be fully deployed in 2015 – with modifications to the car's compact packaging, as well as engine upgrades, would see it make substantial gains in terms of power.
