Red Bull lead the way on first day of Pirelli test

The three team wet weather test at Paul Ricard has seen Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo top the timesheets. The first day of 2016 testing took place at the southern French circuit at Paul Ricard, artificially dampened by sprinklers. The test was run by Pirelli, with the tyre manufacturer setting the testing program for the participating teams. Full wet compounds, including prototypes, were the only tyres run. Only three teams elected to take part: Red Bull: Daniel Ricciardo Ferrari: Kimi Raikkonen McLaren: Stoffel Vandoorne Over the course of the day, Pirelli say 285 laps were completed between the three drivers.
