McLaren MP4-31 latest to pass FIA crash tests

McLaren has confirmed its 2016 Formula 1 car has passed the mandatory FIA crash tests. The team is the latest to reveal the news, following recent announcements from Toro Rosso, Force India, Mercedes and Sauber. The MP4-31 is the second car produced by the Woking-based outfit to use Honda’s V6 Turbo power unit. F1 cars require homologating by the FIA before hitting the track for the first time.
