Kevin Magnussen happy with Renault baseline performance

Renault Sport's Kevin Magnussen says his new Renault RS.16 is showing a good base performance level, but says there is work to do to unlock the potential within. After a troubled first two days on the reliability front for Renault, Magnussen's first day in the car on Wednesday saw the Danish driver manage to put in 111 laps with a best time good enough for P4. Speaking to media after his day, Magnussen spoke about enjoying his first day back in an F1 car after eleven months on the sidelines. His last appearance in a proper sessions was at the 2015 Australian Grand Prix when he stood in for Fernando Alonso during his time as McLaren's reserve driver.
