McLaren still being conservative on performance - Alonso

©WRI2 With reliability now looking under control at McLaren-Honda, Fernando Alonso believes the team can focus on gradually dialing in the performance of its power unit. While McLaren did not get the sheer mileage the team expected during pre-season testing in Barcelona, the Woking outfit and its engine partner Honda did appear to harness the dreadful reliability issues which dogged its season last year. Both Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso enjoyed a good second week of work in Spain, gradually improving their McLaren's strength and speed.
