Pirelli reveals tyre nominations for Spanish Grand Prix

F1’s tyre supplier Pirelli has confirmed the compound nominations for the Spanish Grand Prix, which takes place in May. The hard, medium and soft tyres will be taken to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya by Pirelli for the fifth round of the 2016 season. The 2016 regulations state nominations for fly-away F1 events have to be made 14 weeks in advance, compared to the eight-week deadline for races that take place in Europe. One set of the orange-marked hard tyre and one set of the mediums must be used in the race and have been reserved by Pirelli, as has a set of the yellow soft compound for Q3.
